Chennai, India — Redstar recently hosted its much-anticipated ‘Vetri Vizha’ celebration, a colorful and culturally rich event that brought together the entire Redstar workforce of 198 employees for a day filled with joy, tradition, and unity.
The event, inspired by the spirit of Pongal and Tamil village festivals (Thiruvizha), featured a variety of traditional competitions and entertainment. Employees participated enthusiastically in activities such as Kolam competitions, Pongal cooking contests, and the spirited Uriyadi game, which saw teams competing with laughter and high energy.
The festive grounds were transformed into a traditional village fair, complete with balloon shooting stalls, parrot astrology, bangle shops, kite flying zones, and a sugarcane stall. These attractions created a nostalgic and immersive Thiruvizha atmosphere that brought smiles to faces young and old.
Adding to the excitement of the occasion was the presence of esteemed guests — Mr. Tushar Verma, EVP of REHAU India, and Mrs. Aashima Deepak Kaul, VP of HR at REHAU India — who were warmly welcomed by the Redstar team. Their visit and words of encouragement inspired employees and highlighted the importance of cultural celebrations in fostering workplace unity and morale.
Throughout the day, the venue echoed with music, laughter, and cheer,as employees engaged in friendly competition and shared in the rich cultural traditions of Tamil Nadu.
